Where is the place to delete users in rslight?
Where can I look up real user name <--> X-Rslight-Posting-User?
I am now setting up my test instance that I would like to make public
in the future and that means I will most likely have to delete users
that abuse the service.

Right now it must be done manually.
/etc/rslight/users has the encoded password in a file by the name of the user
/etc/rslight/userconfig has the user's configuration in a file by the name of the user
Either deleting the file in 'users/', or changing the encoded password data, the user can no longer log in. If you keep the 'userconfig/' file for them, their email address is reserved and they can not create another account with that address.
I suggest keeping both files, and modifying the encoded password. Note, all usernames are lower case.

This data is not reversable, but since rslight uses the username in 'From:', and there is no facility to change that, simply use the 'From:' username.
If you enable post log in 'overrides.inc.php', you can double check in post.log:
// Log posts?
'enable_post_log' => true,

True.

I did that, but the file is being recreated and I can still log into
the web interface.

That's most likely due to a recent upgrade that allows users to post
without password (stay logged in) for a while.
I just tested and it correctly does not allow posting once that times out.
Of course this needs to be fixed. I'll work on getting it to disable the
account immediately, I'll post back when I think I have something.

Great!.
Be aware that I don't want to hurry you up, my install is a test system
currently and if that needs days/weeks to be fixed, everything is fine.

Thanks Marco!
It should work immediately now in the latest commit in 'devel':
https://gitlab.com/rslight-public/rocksolid-light/-/tree/devel?ref_type=heads
It will be necessary to delete the user's file in /etc/rslight/users I would suggest just moving it. Changing the password won't disable posting immediately, only after several hours. Moving the file should now be immediate.

That file doesn't exist, only /etc/rslight/overrides.inc.php.dist.
Do I need to create it or change the .dist?

Just change the dist to:
overrides.inc.php
Make any additions before the line:
'comma' => true
];
